Absheron Olive Garden Limited Liability Company is located in the Zira Settlement, Khazar district of Baku. Along with olive gardens grown on an area of 700 ha using state-of-the-art methods, the company also includes the largest and state-of-the- art olive oil and table olives production plant in the country and region.
Absheron Olive Garden was founded in 2017 within the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic on the approval of the State Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Regions of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2014-2018. It was opened on November 4, 2022, with the participation of Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. At the opening ceremony, the President highly appreciated the works implemented:
“We created such a beautiful complex on barren lands. Throughout history, nothing was grown or planted here, but we create miracles everywhere.”
Then, the president planted an olive tree on the site.
The key objective of Absheron Olive Garden is to produce high quality olive oil and table olives from the olive garden grown on Absheron lands, introduce these products primarily to the citizens of Azerbaijan as part of the country’s food security programs, as well as exporting olive products under the Made in Azerbaijan brand.
Although the annual consumption of olive oil per capita, which has great health benefits, is 12.8 kg in Greece, 11.3 kg in Spain, 10.5 kg in Italy, 1.8 kg in Turkey, and 1.7 kg in Russia, this figure is only 400 g in Azerbaijan. One of the company's key objectives is to significantly increase this figure, thus contributing to the formation of a healthier and happier society.
Absheron Olive Garden LLC’s olive gardens are the result of successfully implementing the concept of developing our country's non-oil sector and agriculture. The enterprise was created in collaboration with experts from a number of countries, including Italy, Turkey, Israel, etc. Olive gardens were planted in the Zira Settlement on 700 ha of rocky and desert soils, which had been unusable and unexploited for many years. To this purpose, olive tree seedlings of various high- quality olive oil, table olive, and mixed varieties from Portugal, Greece, Spain, and Turkey were used, including Arbequina, Arbosana, Imperial, Gemlik, Manzanillo, Blanqueta, Koroneiki, etc., according to the company’s production capacity and market demand.

The company has 2 plants that meet the latest standards: an olive oil production
plant and a table olive production plant. The oil production plant was established in
collaboration with Pieralisi, an Italian company. The plant has an annual receiving
capacity of 35 thousand tons of raw olives and produces Extra Virgin olive oil
through cold pressing. The table olive production plant was established in
collaboration with Tutkun Makina, a Turkish company. The plant has all the
equipment required to produce green, black, pitted, unpitted, sliced, stuffed, and
other types of table olives.
The quality of the products of both plants meets national and international
standards in terms of food safety and is confirmed with relevant certificates. The
products of the company are for sale in the domestic market for local consumers
and for exporting, under the trademark of Made in Azerbaijan, to countries such as
Russia, Israel, Canada, Turkey, and Spain.
